60 Years of Memories

Celebrating 60 Years of Resurrection

Resurrection was founded 60 years ago today. It feels like this is only the beginning. This anniversary celebration gives us the chance to not only look back at how far we've come as a parish family, but also to look forward to all the blessings God still holds for us as we continue to live the Gospel.

On September 13, 1963, Bishop Stanislaus V. Bona established Resurrection as the 188^th parish in the Diocese of Green Bay. Father William Spalding was the founding pastor and was followed by nine pastors, 3 associate pastors, 6 deacons, and numerous staff and lay leaders. 

Resurrection has been rising towards loving all God’s people for 60 years through: the celebration of liturgies and Sacraments; the sharing our gifts within and beyond our parish family; the growing in faith and a deeper relationship with God; and becoming a strong parish family rooted in discipleship and stewardship. We’ve prayed, grown in faith, shared, laughed, cried, and loved together. 

The stories shared over the past 60 days are the foundation on which we continue to put our faith in action. We look forward to the future and what it means to bring the Resurrection to all God’s people. It takes all of us, our entire parish family, to continue building the Kingdom of God. We join together to spread the love of God and bring all into the light of the Resurrection.
