Day 25 of 60 Days to 60 Years
Resurrection Catholic Parish
1963-2023
We are Resurrection Catholic Parish;
the living body of Christ.
We are called and challenged
to live a prayer-filled life,
heal a broken world,
share our timeless stories,
and act with a servant’s heart.
We are called to be the love of Jesus;
welcoming and loving all God’s people all the time.
60 Years of Memories
My Spiritual Home
By Rosemary Baloun
Aug. 1, 2006, after 35 wonderful years, I retired from the Green Bay Area Public Schools. That same day, I joined the staff at Resurrection Parish as the faith formation and sacramental coordinator.
This ministry was a great opportunity for me to continue to work with children and families. I retired again in 2019. That gave me the opportunity to coordinate the 8:05 morning Masses.
What a gift that is to schedule the ministers and pray every day with people of all ages! Wednesdays are the school Masses, which again gives me the opportunity to work with youth.
Working with Karolyn Efferson, I write the plans for Liturgy of the Word and Children’s Flocknotes. Ministering with the little ones brings me back to the days of working in the schools. Finally, I support Wayne Efferson and his work with the weekend ministers.
Oh, I forgot, Tuesday morning you can come and see me volunteering in the parish office. Resurrection is and will always be my spiritual home!
Rosemary Baloun has been a member of Resurrection Parish since 1990.
