Day 24 of 60 Days to 60 Years
Resurrection Catholic Parish
1963-2023
We are Resurrection Catholic Parish;
the living body of Christ.
We are called and challenged
to live a prayer-filled life,
heal a broken world,
share our timeless stories,
and act with a servant’s heart.
We are called to be the love of Jesus;
welcoming and loving all God’s people all the time.
60 Years of Memories
My Pilgrimage of Faith
By Janice Duescher
Beginning with my rural roots, my faith life and practice of it were nurtured in the rich soil of family, relatives, friends, and parish life. As my faith blossomed and matured, it became a kaleidoscope of colors, hills, valleys, changes, and challenges.
I married my soulmate, and we joined Resurrection Parish as charter members. In the warm embrace of the parish, I continued to live my faith in and through community service, volunteering, baking, expanding my circle of friends, and being welcomed at the door when I enter church for services.
I am now at peace, comfortable, and feeling supported after saying goodbye to my husband, who is always with me in spirit and in love.
A most memorable experience was sitting behind Vince Lombardi at Mass as he held his wife’s hand, which reminded me of my love for my husband.
My faith has continued to blossom into a most holy and spiritual experience. I am thankful, happy, at peace, and finally at home.
Janice Duescher is a charter member of Resurrection Parish.

Photos From Our History
The beauty of the stained glass windows around the church shines a kaleidoscope of colors upon the people of the Resurrection.
The south window represents creation, as told in the first chapter of Genesis.
"Let there be light" is shown as coming down from the hand of God.
The sun, moon, stars, and planets in the upper portion represent the heavens, and the half-circle in the center portion is the earth.
The dark areas on the earth represent land formations and the wavy blue areas the waters.
Day is on the left side of the earth in the brighter tones and evening is on the right side, the deeper tones are used here.
The sun in the heavens is on the daylight side and the moon is on the night side.
The wheat and grapes in the lower portion indicate vegetation; the creatures are indicated by the ray form on the lower left which contains the birds, and on the right the fish.
In the center where these two rays meet are the forms of man and woman.
