Day 23 of 60 Days to 60 Years
Resurrection Catholic Parish
1963-2023
We are Resurrection Catholic Parish;
the living body of Christ.
We are called and challenged
to live a prayer-filled life,
heal a broken world,
share our timeless stories,
and act with a servant’s heart.
We are called to be the love of Jesus;
welcoming and loving all God’s people all the time.
60 Years of Memories
Mountain Top Reflection
By Sylvia Corbeill
I have many memories of our Resurrection parish community. But last year’s Mountain Top Advent mural on the west wall, behind the altar, both captured my heart and inspired this reflection.
Mountain Top ReflectionWhen I gaze upon the Mountain Top mural, I see Jesus awaiting me and offering me His rod and staff to help me climb this holy mountain. There are some clouds in the way but with the help of Jesus and my friends, I can make it through.
“Friends are like flowers, beautiful flowers in the garden of life”
I see the sunflowers (my favorite flower) as the Holy Spirit working through my friends, helping me to continue to reach for that glorious mountain top.
I see the low valley as the crucified Christ, the waters of baptism purifying us to finally reach the radiance of our heavenly home.
The Eucharistic table is our rod and staff enabling us to finally be united with the Risen Christ.
“How beautiful on the Mountain top, are the feet of those who bring good news, how beautiful!”
Sylvia Corbeill has been a member of Resurrection Parish since 2009.
Haikus
Members of the 2023 Resurrection confirmation class and their sponsors wrote haikus as part of their preparations to receive the sacrament.
Working towards your Grace.
Accepting me and my mistakes.
With me forever.

Accepting that He
is present in me, and you.
In community.
