Day 5 of 60 Days to 60 Years
Resurrection Catholic Parish
1963-2023
We are Resurrection Catholic Parish;
the living body of Christ.
We are called and challenged
to live a prayer-filled life,
heal a broken world,
share our timeless stories,
and act with a servant’s heart.
We are called to be the love of Jesus;
welcoming and loving all God’s people all the time.
60 Years of Memories
Blessings and Celebrations
By Chuck and Mary Lou White
In 1972, we and our four daughters moved from Rockford IL to Green Bay. After we joined Resurrection Parish, Father William Spalding visited us and blessed our home.
In 1974/75, our family celebrated Margaret Mary (Meg) White’s First Communion at our home with family. Fr. Tom Seery and Fr. Gerry Vedra, Resurrection’s co-pastors, were the celebrants. It was a very happy celebration!
Chuck and Mary Lou White have been members of Resurrection Parish since 1972.
Haikus
Members of the 2023 Resurrection confirmation class and their sponsors wrote haikus as part of their preparations to receive the sacrament.
Haikus are a type of unrhymed, three-line Japanese, 17-syllable poetry dating back to the 17th century. The first and third lines of a haiku each have five syllables. The second line has seven.
Living in God’s world,
Spreading his words of wisdom.
Being imperfect.
—Brett Kussow
Revive me with faith.
Reach into my heart, O God.
Fill me with your Grace.
—Patrice Krienke
