Day 3 of 60 Days to 60 Years
Resurrection Catholic Parish
1963-2023
We are Resurrection Catholic Parish;
the living body of Christ.
We are called and challenged
to live a prayer-filled life,
heal a broken world,
share our timeless stories,
and act with a servant’s heart.
We are called to be the love of Jesus;
welcoming and loving all God’s people all the time.
60 Years of Memories
Truly a Blessed People
By Mike Flanagan
My wife and I feel blessed to be members of the Resurrection community. I feel that Resurrection has been blessed because of the spiritual leadership of Fr. Paul Demuth, Bishop Bob Morneau, and Fr. Tom Reynebeau. My faith journey has been enhanced by their ministry at Resurrection.
Every celebration of Mass has special meaning to me. We are a prayerful community. We sing our praise. We have wonderful musicians and choirs that contribute so much to the prayerfulness of the community. The live streaming of Mass is truly a bonus that allows so many to be engaged in the celebration of Mass when unable to attend in person.
I like the feeling that all are welcome at Resurrection. We are a friendly, welcoming community. I feel “the love for God and one another at Resurrection.” In my opinion, we are truly a blessed people.
Mike and Lori Flanagan have been members of Resurrection Parish since 1988.
Haikus
Members of the 2023 Resurrection confirmation class and their sponsors wrote haikus as part of their preparations to receive the sacrament.
Haikus are a type of unrhymed, three-line Japanese, 17-syllable poetry dating back to the 17th century. The first and third lines of a haiku each have five syllables. The second line has seven.
Jesus lives in me.
The Holy Spirit guides me.
God is with me now.
—Zach Arnold
The Spirit in me.
Carries me daily forward.
On the righteous path.
—Alex
